Made by a former Head, for the role you actually do

Lucy was a school leader in Norfolk for over a decade before designing the first HeadteacherChat planner, because nothing on the market was actually built for the job! Five years and 9,046 customers later, the planners sell out every year.

Nothing on the market was built around how school leaders actually work.

Frequently asked questions

Anything else? Email us directly — replies usually within a working day.

Can I pre-order now?

Yes. Pre-orders are charged today and dispatched with free UK delivery in time for the new term. Need a different shipping window? Email us and we'll sort it.

What's the difference between the editions?

All editions share the same weekly cadence, meeting templates and leadership prompts. What changes is the role-specific content — the Headteacher edition adds whole-school cycles, governor cadence and parent-comms space; Deputy and Assistant lean into line management and operational planning; SENDCO adds IEPs, provision maps and review-date tracking.

What size and binding is it?

A4 hardback with lay-flat binding so it stays open on your desk during meetings. Around 350 pages, FSC-certified paper, printed in the UK.

Can I expense it through school?

Yes — we send a VAT invoice with every order. Most schools expense it as CPD or a leadership resource. We also do bulk orders (5+) at a discount — email orders@headteacherchat.com.

Can I see the inside before buying?

The spreads on this page are the actual layouts. We'll also send a free PDF preview if you email us — just reply to your order confirmation.

What if I don't get on with it?

30-day no-quibble returns, even if you've written in it. Email us once and we'll refund you and keep the planner as a sample.
