IDSR Autumn 2026: A First-Read Worksheet for Leaders

A worksheet for headteachers and senior leaders opening this autumn's Inspection Data Summary Report, and for briefing governors afterwards. It helps you read the report section by section and decide what you'd say about it.

What's inside

• A summary of Ofsted's September 2026 IDSR changes, including the new layout and the similar schools comparison, checked against Ofsted's IDSR news and updates on 7 October 2026
• A section-by-section grid: what the data shows, what you know that it doesn't, the evidence you'd point to and an owner
• Questions to pull your reading together and check it against your SEF
• A ten-minute governor briefing outline

Format: editable Word document and a PDF. Not official Ofsted guidance.
